Stator ASSY Z1 KZ900 KZ1000
73-78
Replacement stator for the Kawasaki Z1. Comes complete with wiring from the stator
up to the 6-pin blue connector block and the alternator cover grommet. Also includes
the wiring to the neutral and oil pressure switches - each of these have the eye
type connector found on the early Z1's. This stator will also fit the KZ900 and
77-78 KZ1000 - although you will have to replace the two connectors going to the
neutral and oil pressure switches. These stators are over-wound to generate 10-15%
more electrical output - crucial in allowing you to run with headlight on all the
time. See also the solid-state heavy-duty regulator/rectifier
under Ignition combination units. By upgrading the electrics with these two
items, the Z1 KZ900 & KZ1000 electrics are greatly improved. |
